When there is too much wool, learn a new skill!

Solar dyed handspun singles that I spun some time ago.

The “L” Plates are firmly fastened as I attempt to learn a new skill.  The warp is millspun grey wool, with handspun being used in the weft, and tufts of  hand dyed silk,  tussah because I like the look,  randomly  woven in.

 Plain weave and twill tomorrow.

And this on the bobbin.

Wafting lemons and limes, in pillows of merino, corriedale and yes, a touch of silk.

There is work to be done before I can get to the waiting black wool.

What a beautiful green! It makes me think of the spring’s earliest shoots in the garden, filled with sunshine. Thank you for sharing this.
